About the Role
The 3PL Sales Manager is responsible for driving business growth by acquiring new clients, developing strategic customer relationships, and delivering tailored warehousing and logistics solutions. This role owns the complete B2B sales lifecycle—from lead generation and opportunity qualification to proposal development, commercial negotiations, contract closure, and successful client onboarding. Working closely with cross-functional teams including Operations, Finance, Pricing, and Customer Success, the Sales Manager ensures every solution aligns with customer supply chain requirements while contributing to the company's revenue, profitability, and long-term business objectives. The ideal candidate is a results-driven sales professional with strong expertise in third-party logistics (3PL), warehousing, contract logistics, and supply chain solutions. Success in this role requires excellent communication, negotiation, solution-selling, and relationship management skills, along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-oriented environment.
Requirements
Education • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, or a related discipline. • MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is preferred. Experience • 3–5 years of proven experience in 3PL sales, contract logistics, warehousing, supply chain, or business development. • Demonstrated success in acquiring new enterprise clients and managing B2B sales opportunities. • Experience handling the complete sales lifecycle, from lead generation to customer onboarding. • Prior experience working with warehousing, fulfillment, transportation, or logistics service providers is highly preferred. Technical & Professional Skills • Strong understanding of warehousing operations, fulfillment processes, and supply chain management. • Ability to identify customer requirements and design solution-oriented logistics offerings. • Experience preparing commercial proposals, quotations, RFP/RFQ responses, and business presentations. • Hands-on experience with CRM software and sales pipeline management. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and sales reporting tools. • Knowledge of sales forecasting, revenue planning, and opportunity tracking. • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to negotiate profitable business deals. Key Responsibilities • Identify and develop new business opportunities in 3PL, warehousing, fulfillment, and supply chain services. • Generate qualified leads through networking, referrals, market research, and strategic outreach. • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline across multiple industries and territories. • Understand client business requirements and recommend customized logistics solutions. • Conduct client meetings, presentations, negotiations, and contract discussions. • Prepare professional proposals, quotations, and RFP responses. • Track opportunities, customer interactions, and sales forecasts using CRM systems. • Collaborate with Operations, Finance, Pricing, and Customer Success teams to ensure smooth project handover and implementation. • Monitor industry trends, customer expectations, and competitor activities to identify new growth opportunities. • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets while maintaining profitability.
